Our toro 5210 cutting units will not lower after sitting over night. Replaced the micro switch and ran for the day. Next morning same thing. Used a jumper wire on the wires coming up to the micro switch and they lowered. Ran all day. Next morning same results. Any help would be appreciated.

I would do a voltage drop test when its acting up and see where voltage is lost. This will pinpoint you're problem. By jumping it, your making it work as you've pushed pass the resistance, and when sitting over night the resistance builds back up causing it not to work. Following the system and checking for voltage drop will tell you where the problem is.

    Regards,

I do not know if this will matter or not but recently I had a conversation with our Toro Service Rep about an issue with our Fairway mower. I was told that I needed to pull the negative cable off and clean both ends (battery side and frame side). Some of the electricals will not work properly without really good grounds. It helped with our problem which was centered around the thermostat getting false readings due to a bad ground wire.
