    We have been using Andersons rotary spreaders to topdress our greens and they keep breaking. The slider plate is binding up and getting bent. On top of that we can't get an even swath no matter what cone setting we use. We have tried Spyker but they don't seem to throw an even swath either. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Lesco 80# spreader from John Deere. Even Andy likes it.

    Is there a walking spreader out there that will throw only to the right or left? Without the deflector system that causes you to re sod the greens surround

    Larry,

    In the Lesco spreaders there used to be a cover for one of the three holes in the bottom. If I remember correctly it would divert the swath to one side or the other. Each product perfomed differetly depending on the size and weight of the prill. It may be worth a shot.

    Deflectors = BAD NEWS
