    Season's Greetings,

I am doing a cost comparison between installing the newer Infinity heads vs. the 835s/855s...can anyone share their experience with price differential between each of them on that side of "the pond"?

For those that have experience with the Infinity heads...are any extra costs worth it? (I am considering their use for greens and tees)

Also looking into drip line irrigation installation on selected bunker faces...shared experiences with this application are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Storm,

Our local distributor has them listed for a price difference of about $45/head (List).
I would bet over time you will get that money back for not having to dig up the head (turn off water) for a quick pilot valve change. Also no chance of hitting solenoid wire when trimming around them (had guys go too deep with knife on an angle and cut the wire before). We just installed about 15 of the here and I am very pleased with them.

We did an irrigation expansion of 11 heads in house, it was nice to be able to put wire in trench, glue up pipe then just shove wire into heads while crew back filled trench (then I went back and made all electrical connections afterwards). Allowed the crew to not have to wait on me to make all connections, and they could keep working to finish faster!

i have yet to see any downside to them!

I haven't used them yet, bought one a few month ago but haven't had the opportunity to use it. I would say that it would all depend if you can spend the extra bit of money now to relieve some of the headaches you may encounter later. With everything being accessible without having to spend the time to dig it up, I believe makes up for the extra up front cost.

When I first saw one, from first glimpse it looked like the top of the casing/body was wider then a normal head, until the salesman put the infinity and a regular one together and saw they're the same.
