I found some rare footage of Jeff loading a large hoe onto a barge in Egypt during his stint there. A remarkable guy, a remarkable equipment operator.

Maybe Jeffie has come back as a civil engineer.

Jeffy.....that's awesome. He needed to gas that thing at the 1:10 mark and no worries. I always thought he had to go to Bangkok to get his back fixed but now it appears he was run out of Egypt. How many others here can say that?

I'm pretty sure David McCallum trained him on that excavator.

Jeffie could be a very generous person but when it came to his health care he was one cheap bastard. He could have flown to Europe or the US to have his back fixed but nope, he choose Cairo General. He phoned one night from a flop house after the operation in unfathomable pain. Post op pain killers were not offered.
I often wonder if the back pain was not a symptom of the cancer that eventually took his life.
One thing I know for sure is that he'd be laughing like hell at this thread. Maybe both he and David are. I certainly hope so

This sounds so much like Jeffie. He was one who could really get someone thinking, while having us laugh about it at the same time. I do miss those days, and College football season when I would be hoping that David had some kind words to say about my Seminoles. Despite our political views were polar opposite, and he loved his LSU Tigers, I think I felt a bond as I think we both hated those Florida Gators about the same.

    Good times, good times.
