Anyone have experience with Multi Seal Pro HD2500 tire sealant or any other type of tire sealant?

I use the Oregon 67-103 white sealant.

The only time I've seen it not work is when the tire is just utterly destroyed. I believe it's the same stuff the military uses. Typically, these sealants work best when the tire is in service, so if the unit sits for awhile it might air down.

We use a product called Ultra Seal (from Gemplers) on the 8 wheeled ventrac unit. We were spiking tires in out of play areas...that has virtually stopped since using it.

I started using the Multi-seal products about 3 years ago, and it's been as advertised I'd say. I use it more for the pesky little air losses that are difficult to find, or when a bead isn't sitting perfectly on a rim (because it might be just out of round) and I feel it's better than bead sealer and much easier to clean up.

I feel the 5 gallon pail is worth the investment to keep things up and running and not wreck sidewalls because we might have missed a little bit of a squat in the morning.

On this same note, how many guys out there are using the Tire Plugger apparatus? The little green gun that has the mushroom headed rubber plugs. Curious to thoughts on them and what you are using them on.

On smaller tires that are prone to punctures, we have them filled with foam. Costs around $40/each, but allows the tire to last until it is so worn out it needs replacing. That's about 10 years on all caster wheels on rotary mowers that are foam filled.

On larger tires, I've seen issues using the sealant. But, only when you have to replace the tire. Typically this stuff coats the rim so good you have to throw it away and buy another. However, you can extend the life of the tire significantly.
