I am currently looking to purchase some equipment and need to find as many used equipment dealers that I can.
Primarily in mid-west but so far have gotten calls from vendors on both coasts that are interested also. Looking for dealers that have access to off lease, bankruptcy, and foreclosure equipment. I am also working with local Toro, Jac, and JD representatives to allow them the same option of used or off lease equipment. Have acquired several names from the "Trades" magazine but looking for as many as possible.

    Thanks, Mark Lytle

Mark have you checked with Irrigation and Turf Equipment Inc? I think they are in Kansas.

Curious in how you got your municipality to look at used equipment. It is hard for us to get our municipality to look at used or even state contracts.

    Thanks, Mel

I've used Global Turf Equipment for many items in the past. They've also found some unique items I'm interested in for me. http://www.globalturfequipment.com

I've also gotten some good deals from Wesco Turf recently on used, off-lease equipment. http://www.wescoturf.com.

I reccomend both. I know Global will ship worldwide, not 100% on Wesco.

    Melvin,
It takes the right administrators in place to look at used or off lease. The first question I always asked them is do you buy a new car, or used / off-lease. We purchased low hour John Deere off-lease equipment for the first time three years ago. My department, within the city, was the first to do so. We also purchased 25 EZ- GO reconditioned golf carts three years ago and are having no problems with them. That said I understand EZ-GO does not completely recondition carts like they did three years ago. Some city departments are considering used pickups with 20,000 miles on them for purchase.

Andy thanks I have contacted both vendors you mentioned and have them on the RFP list, but it is good to hear from someone that has experience with these companies.

    Thanks, Mark Lytle

    Check out Cutter Equipment.

Located in Canton, OH but ships worldwide.

I've bought numerous pieces from them over the past 5-6 years with no disappointments.
