Because of staffing, I sometimes mow 7 a day (no fwy on par 3s)
Pros- Can get other stuff done
    Cons- Fwys don't get finished
Same with tees (although those are 9/9)
The staff and I are the only ones that know. Have never been asked "why are the fwys on the front side longer?", etc. by anybody.
Heck, when we are real busy, we'll only mow the par 3 tees??
You got to do what you got to do...
If you're talking about debris being left from mowers...that I don't know. You'll need to wait until somebody that fertilizes chimes in.

What type of turf are you mowing? I mow Meyer Zoysia the way you are describing and have for the past four seasons. Being in a resort setting we hardly see the same golfers twice in the same week so their chance of noticing any real difference is not as likely. Also I agree with Trevor's comment regarding fertility levels. I am on the light side as in 1 1/2 to 1 3/4# of N per season.

    Is this because of staffing?

If so, when we started reducing staff, we went from mowing all fw, t, ap, and intermediate from 3 days per week, M,W,F, with 6 staff, to 2 days a week. Now Tees Monday and Thursday with 3 staff. Fw, ap, int Tuesday and Friday with 4 staff.

This is on Penncross tees and Pennlinks/Penneagle fw and aps, fertilized about 2.5 lb N per year and well regulated with pgr's. All clippings harvested.

We are KBG and poa fairways and tees and we mow even fairways one day and odd the next. Tees are mown opposite, so odd tees then even. I think it depends on your fertility. We have been using Redox on tees and fairways for 4 years now and so we are able to get away with this mowing regime. This works out to approx 1.25 lbs/K on tees and fairways per growing season. I also apply 5 mL of Primo monthly with our Redox app on tees.
I haven't had any comments from members or guests about uncut features so works for us.

We have been mowing 9 holes a day for about 15 years. When we started getting leagues we went to this program. The pro shop alternates nines M-F. We mow the 'Back-9'. We are out of the way, golfers aren't affected it coincides with the starting nine for league play.

Until I have to spray fairways. I try to stay on the back side as well, we then just modify the plan to cut partial fairways until we get finished.

I just started at this course a month ago. We are a muni with 7 guys. we mow 9 holes a day so we can mow rough and complete detail work. I do mow all 18 on Fridays. It has been working great and the rough has been getting mowed twice per week, when the rain allows

I have done it in the past and it works just fine as long as you don't leave them unmoved for an entire weekend. We mowed 9 holes of fairways and tees 7 days a week and I think you could probably get away with doing it 6.

During season, we cut 9 cups on 9 holes a day 7 days a week, in the summer we cut cups every other day.

    Regards,

    Steve
