I want to use "Quinclorac" to erradicate the crab....Anyone have suggestions on a specific rate and if multiple apps.are needed and what interval. It's Hot here. Panhandle of Tx. Worst drought in over 50 years. My greens are looking excellent considering. Get compliments every day. triple digets daily. I've seen from .16oz/m to .5oz/m. Anderson's G&C not working. Will go with Bensulide or Dithyiopyr next season. Any input will be much appreciated.
    Thanks

Man that's tough. I always say it's lack of soil moisture and not temp's that increases Drive injury. But with temp's that high all bets are off. (You know you're off label too) Also, I can't believe Goose/Crab did not work. It is far superior to the other two pre-em products in our trials. Give it a try again next spring. Good luck. Yes Sir....I have an array of Turf here....Clay greens on the back side and sand on the front. Early spring we had winds DAILY, of 35mph with gust's to 60mph...Unimaginable....So we did get dry....Slow to heal from aerification and you name it. 100 degree daily highs are nothing right now....Even hit a couple of 105's plus

Just finished spraying my Penncross Tees and Fairways with Quinclorac for post emergent crab control. Our temps here in the Mountains of Western NC are low to mid 80's so we can spray pretty much what we want if it doesn't ding up our Poa. I know some guys that have sprayed their greens with this product, but I personally haven't. You could try Acclaim Extra. Very safe, but requires multiple application to check the crab and may not even touch the goose. Might be something to look into. Other than that, pray for an early frost my friend!

Just ordered some new Drive XLR8 which now has a greens label. I personally would shy away from any herbicide applications to cool season in Mid to Upper 90's and 100 degree temps. Might be something to look into when you cool down a bit. I do believe in the power of prayer my brother. I have been at a course with non-irrigated cool season fairways for 11 years now so my prayer life is an active one. :)
