Has anyone ever used google check out? i am attempting to buy a vehicle cross country. I am being told that this is pretty secure and once the vehicle is shipped I am allowed to inspect it. If it is not what they say it is, i can send it back.

It might be a scam! I was looking at a tractor a couple months ago and came across a similar situation. The seller stated the transaction would be safe, secure and performed through Google Checkout. The seller also stated the tractor was being stored at a National Vehicle transportation site and would be shipped, allowing me 15 days to test drive and accept/decline the sale before funds would officially transfer.

This was a scam. Google Checkout does not hold money for a delayed release to the seller. It is similar to PayPal. Also, the vehicle shipping company does not store vehicles "waiting to be shipped". I web searched tractor scams and found several EXACT email communications that I received and as soon as you click Enter and send money, they'll change their email info and you're out $$.

I got pretty excited about the too good to be true deal.

Maybe locate a Supt in the area and ask for a first hand verification prior to committing.

    Jeremy,

My cousin in Nigeria just won the lottery, but needs the $10,000 fee to claim the prize. He said he would be willing to give you half of the $5,000,000 he won if you would "loan" him the money. Let me know if you are interested.
