I have mixed bent/poa. More poa than bent really. Anyway, this past week or so I've watched fusarium patch lingering and trying to take hold, all the while unable to get the needed fungicides due to the club's financial situation. My greens were running very lean. Leaner than I like and the concern for anthracnose was also there, plus general thinning and what not. So I applied some urea, mg and iron. Got some rain, cool and overcast and the fusarium has exploded.

My question is. Do you think the N addition is related to this? I did feed them .2 lbs N. I expect that there is a relationship, but would like any comments you may have on this. Thanks.

We can see fusarium patch here almost anytime. Yes, it seems related to nitrogen. If I see it starting and I add any nitrogen it starts to take off. I've been pretty dedicated to phosphites on greens this season, and even though it seems to rain (or rather hail) everyday, it hasn't reared its ugly head yet.

Rain, cool, overcast - you are going to have fusarium (I am assuming microdchium nivale). Maybe it will be a little worse with the N, but you would not have prevented the disease by withholding N. You need some fungicide.
