We are looking at buying this unit but the deck front rollers and some back rollers are trashed.
I can not believe there is no way to grease the front rollers. Has JD changed this design and can this be adapted to this unit? Also any other comments on this unit would be helpful.

    Thanks

I had about a page of negative input to post, but lost it. So I will comment with just do not purchase that year. Machine itself is good but decks are worthless. We have spent a lot of money on new decks and even received free new ones. We may have some rough terrain, but we went through 10 decks in 1 year. Finally we received free ones along with special brackets to reinforce them from bending and twisting. Rollers have been a nightmare too.
I have seen newer models and there has been a lot of design changes that look much better and durable.

I believe that the newer units are the 8800's and have front casters that can be greased, and their rear roller are among the best I have seen in the industry as far as standing up to abuse. Not sure if you can change them out with an older unit, but the newer JD is great stuff.
