Michael Rogers said: Thanks Andy. Ronstar costs a fortune here in Spain. It is not possible. My first question to foreman who has been here for 26 years is how well with 419 cover over the bare spots treated with pendimethalin. He said no problem.
Goose and crab grass manage to break thru with the pendamethalin without hollow tining. With the scarring and 419 recovery slowed down by lower than ideal temperatures and pendimethalin I am concerned but the GM is happy with this plan. We shall see.
Ronstar G has the
inhibitors of protoporphyrinogen oxidase mode of action.
Pendimethalin is a meristematic
inhibitor that interferes with the plant cellular division or mito-
sis and cell elongation in the growing points of shoots and
roots of susceptible weeds.
Andy, I was wondering why you think that the Ronstar would favor the 419 recovery more. Thanks again

Although the focus on this article is on spring dead spot recovery, it also mention recovery from traffic, divots, etc...The data showed no statistical difference between the control and the Ronstar applications, but significant difference between control and pendimethalin.

Would post-patent Oxidiazon(Ronstar) be more readily available than the brand name?
