May is skin cancer awareness month...a timely month for superintendents to start ordering sun screen!
With that in mind, I just published a podcast about this subject at
http://www.turfgrasssuccess.com. I had recorded this main audio back in 2011 with a Texas superintendent, Stephen Best. Stephen eventually lost his battle with skin cancer and passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2011.
I thought it was very worthwhile to publish Stephens Story...I know he would have wanted it that way.
In this podcast, Stephen communicated what he did right, what he did wrong, and what he would have changed, if given the opportunity again. Stephen just wanted others to learn from his experience, and to save other superintendents from having to go through the same ordeal that he did.
