Anything cheaper on crab than Drive?

Have some rough areas not so much in play but with a lot of crab and I can't bring myself to spending close to $60 per acre to treat. Boy I wish MSMA could be sprayed over larger areas.

I can see spraying just off fairways and maybe spending that much if need be.

    Thanks!

$60/A? Have you considered the off brand quinclorac? Almost cut that $60 in half.

We have to look for someone in our area carrying it. Our current suppliers only had Drive. There was a shortage earlier in the season of quinclorac, so I don't know if that lead to the issue with our suppliers or not.

Quinclorac 75 DF (NUFARM, Quali-Pro) is gaining popularity in Ohio due to the cost. 1LB/A is the labeled rate, I have heard of people using half rates with promising results.

Last Call(NUFARM) is also another one being used, but a bit pricey. 1.3-1.5 oz/M

Thanks for the Last Call reminder, just saw that at our local distributer, a lawn care guy was picking some up. He says it works great but slow, he mixes in a little dismiss and then crab is smoked, doesn't know why because crab isn't on the label. Wonder if it could be a surfactant in Dismiss? Although if it is more expensive then Qulincloriac, that doesn't solve my problem.

I wonder those using the half rate and seeing results, if they are also using the MSO?

Q4, takes care of crab and nutsedge. Just a bit slow, but effective... No surfactants needed....

Excellent product but I save it for high just certain areas, like green banks where I will have some crab, clover and nutsedge, that stuff is like $100+ per acre. I don't have that kind of budget for my fairways let alone rough areas.

Did find one supplier we deal with carrying the generic, still in the mid $40's. per acre.

    Thanks!
