31 lost, 31 unwanted visits, 31 doors receive that dreaded knock, 31 families with shattered hearts, 31 pairs of boots lined up with rifles and dog tags and helmets, 31 comrades remembered and grieved for, 31 funeral services, 31 names on newly made grave markers, 31 empty places at the table, 31 souls who gave all.

The loss is too great to understand. Our hearts are broken.

It's time to bring our warriors home.
Let's beef up out intelligence, be honest of who our enemies are, and defend what's worth defending.
I've been supportive of the operations in the middle east...but enough is enough.

Our hearts and prayers go out to all of the families of those brave soldiers. I think both sides of the political spectrum are now loudly asking a valid question. Why in the world are we still there? They are going to remain a 6th century country forever. They don't understand the philosophy of freedom or democracy. They have and always will be a tribal nation that fight and kill each other. I no longer see the strategic benefit for our men and women to be placed in harms way. Our intelligence seems to have improved in the locations of Al Queda strongholds. Strategic strike teams should be able to go in and surgically take out the key players. I think it is time to get out of that area and to also quit providing foreign aid to those who either don't like us or would do us physical harm.

I can really see nothing we are accomplishing in Afghanistan any longer. This loss along with a similar incident in 2005 where we loss 16 SEALS and a group of Army Rangers........we are losing our very best for nothing that I can determine. It's has always been a conglomerate of tribes, not a nation, it's not a place to nation build or to teach democracy. The Brits learned it first at Khyber Pass, the Russians learned it and now we are learning it. I agree bring um home.
