    To all,

We are looking to replace our tow behind Lely spreader. Our Fleet Manager wants to look at Gearmore spreaders because they are about 50-60% of the cost of a Lely. To be honest, I never heard of them before he mentioned them. Looks like they are mostly in the Ag market but the spreader does look similar to our current Lely. I have used Lely for at least the last 30 years so I'm not real anxious to change.

If anyone has one or has used one my immediate concerns are:

    1. They don't look as heavy duty as the Lely in pictures.
    2. Everything drops straight out of the bottom as opposed to on the sides at the bottom.
    3. Can you still spread sand with them?

Any comments or thoughts are greatly appreciated.

    Carl,

We bought a Gearmore for many of the same reasons you mentioned. My advice-- stay with what you know!!
Buy the Lely! Wish we would have.
