Looking at purchasing new Toro 2100 walk behind mowers for next season. I have been doing some reading on brushing and am interested in some personal experiences using the brush attachment on these mowers. I am a bent/poa mix and typically run my triplex with groomers ahead of the walk mowers 2 or 3 times a week right now. Just wondering if the brush add-on is worth it from the agronomic, economic, and playability sides? Would the brush attachment allow me to significantly reduce the number of times per week I run groomers or even eliminate it?

    John,

We bought our out front brush attachments for our 2100s from R&R. We use them when the weather is right for bent grass. We tend to see a tighter cut after using them for a couple of days is a row. I feel our clipping amounts go up about 30% using the brush, so I know that it is lifting leaf blades before cutting them off. We are having good luck with the operation of the out front brush attachments this far.
