What is everyone using to edge bunkers? Does Stihl make a reciprocal
blade like red maxx does? I've use spades but I'm just looking to
    clean up the edges. Thanks

    Hey David,

Depending on what you're looking for, but we for the most part just use standard line trimmers. But for a more aggressive edging, we use a 4 stroke Honda trimmer with a reciprocal blade and it works great!

    Cheers,

    Jonathan

Not sure if Stihl makes a recip head or if the Red Max head will fit the Stihl. We use Stihl trimmers but last year we bought 1 Red Max with the recip head just for bunker edges. With a really tight budet it was a hard decision to bite the bullet and get one but it sure is a time savor.

Another recommendation for the RedMax reciprocator, they do a very nice clean job.

We have found that for a light trimming, just a string trimmer. For a moderately aggressive edging, the saw tooth brush blades work nice. No dedicated machine like a reciprocator...just adapt to your string trimmer heads. You will eat up some blades, but they work well.

All we use is a stick edger. Doesn't take too much off like a reciprocater tends to do. Would love to rather just string trim, but the guys aren't that good!
