   I'd like to hear some thoughts on what others are doing in terms of "granular fertility" before & after greens aerification to maximize recovery time. I apply amendments (Gypsum, KMag, etc.) as needed per our Soil Tests but am interested more in how much N-P-K your putting out before & after.
   I have Tifeagle greens, located in Orlando & will be doing a double 1/2" core aerification (for the first time) coming up in July.
   
   Also, for you Ultradwarf guys - My fertility program has been largely foliar based, only using granulars mostly at aerification. Are there any of you out there that are having success with a more "granular based" program?

   Granular + Foliar (or spray) programs are the topic of all kinds of debates. I have seen it done successfully both ways but no one parks their sprayer completely. I don't know anyone who isn't spraying something at least once a month. On the flip side, I know one Super who sprays his twice a week. Ideas on this fall anywhere within the spectrum you can think of.
   
   Now to your actual question. I put down 1/2# for 13-2-13 the week before aerification to go in growing. I also like to flush my greens the week before, if you need to. You may consider spraying a GA type product like Floratines Per-4-Max the week before and the week of aerification if you are going 2x with 1/2" tines.
   
   For my normal program I combine a granulars with a liquid and a foliar program. It breaks down basically to 3.5# granular (mostly in the spring and early summer), 1.2# liquid (dissolved Potassium Nitrate, Coron), micros and biostimulants, etc weekly in the sprayer.
   
   I am also on a pretty strong K and Ca program and have seen great results with that. Keep in mine I have pretty crummy water but similar growing conditions to the Orlando area.

   I manage TifEagle greens out here in Vegas and just punched about a month ago. Went with 10-4-16 at 1/2 Lb N about 5 days before aerification. I like to flush post-aerify and went with the Floratine combo of Calphlex and Pervade. Did this about 4 days after aerification due to high winds. A day or two after I flushed I continued with my foliar program. I've noticed great response with just spoon feeding the tifeagle with about a .1 - .125 lbs N every 7-10 days. I prefer foliar because I feel I can control things better.

   I have Eagle here and we just double aerated with 1/2" tines on 1.5" centers... I do not apply any foliar fertilizer. I am strictly granular. I use signature (from agrium) 12-2-24 year round and after aeration I apply Harrells 15-0-30. We make several applications of 0-0-50 polyon mini in conjunction with aeration. I apply anywhere from .33 to .5 of a pound of N monthly (more as needed). I do spray Harrells PAR and primo, Iron Sulfate and Fleet 2X weekly during the summer when we are very aggressive with verti-cutting/aeration.

   I too spray my greens weekly putting out about .125#N. I use Lesco 14-2-14 to help at transition time and before aerifications (typically 1/4#N). But I think for this double 1/2" core I'll push it up to 1/2#. Post aerification I'll use Sustane Bolster 4-4-4 at a 1/2#N.
   
   For some reason - the all granular route intrigues me. But then again if your spraying your greens weekly regardless to put out (Primo, micros, etc.) why not include N-P-K?
   
   Going forward I think I will include granulars more into my program mostly in the spring/ early summer months.
