Just curious if people are using a dyed sand to fill divots with. Looking into benefits of coloring sand green for filling divots.
    Thanks,
    Dan

    Dan,

After holding out for almost 7 years, I gave in and now use the green dyed sand. No benefit agronomically, and actually less beneficial over the 80/20 sand/compost mix I used to use. But, it does hide better when used.

Personally, I'd prefer to use the 80/20 mix above, and possibly add a bit of colorant in with it. But, the cost is astronomical.

The cost of adding a dye is astronomical?

I was paying roughly $600 for 28-30 tons of the 80/20. My double dyed green sand is around $1,100 delivered.

Ironically, the black dye sand is somewhere in between. I guess the black dye is cheaper than the green. Who knows.
