We are in the process of getting a proposal together for bids to build a grinding room in the corner of our cold storage side of our maintenance building. One of the board members asked what were the safety / OSHA requirements for such a room. Other than ventilation, I could not provide an answer to him. After speaking to some colleagues and a few distributors, adequate ventilation was the only item they came up with as well.

We currently dismantle the break room and use that in the winter but that is no longer a viable option.

    Any input will be appreciated.

    Thank you,

Before you tuck a grinding room in a back corner, think about how you will deliver reels to the grinder. Think about walkers, and large reels. An overhead hoist that can travel from your disassembly/re-assembly area is "desirable", and in my situation "necessary".
