Starting to put plans together for late summer early fall. We just gassed and regrassed all our greens and approaches last fall and now thinking on how we are going to do our best for Poa control. Currently we've been cutting or plugging out any bits that we see and has been effective. I've heard of guys using Bensulide as a preemergent product and wanted to get any input from you. We seeded to A1/A4 on greens and PennEagleII/PennLinkII in the approaches. Fortunately technology is getting better and closer to a selective Poa control, but have heard too many horror stories regarding the two biggest products on the market right now, don't have the stones to be using it on the new turfs. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Justin

    Justin,

Your right on about the new products especially in a year like this. Contact Dave at Indian Hill for his comments about keeping poa out. I believe he is dabbing them with glyphosate very late in the year. It sounds labor intensive until you hear how simply he does it.

    Good luck,
