Does OSHA require Private golf clubs to have a land line phone for its employees in the maintenance facility? We are being way over charged by AT&T for our shop phone which we almost never use.

In my previous jobs doing "right to know" laws which were done yearly I never heard of a shop "required" to have a land line. So I would say no, go get rid of them

Is your alarm system monitored through it? mine is so we had to switch our alarm to a cellular one to get rid of the shop phone.

Do you have internet at the shop? How about some type of Voice Over IT telephone such as Magic Jack?

Sorry for the delayed response. I do believe our security system is monitored through it... We have internet at our shop through Verizon which is Wireless.

It cost us around $50 for the module to go cellular with our security system and about $2 more per month to monitor it that way. but telephone was costing us about $50 per month so it was a good savings. a plus is that with cellular I can not get text on my phone about arm and disarm times as well as when the alarm is set off.
