Just saw the GCSAA Election results posted this evening and wanted to say congratulations to all those elected and appointed to serve on the GCSAA BOD for 2015. A great group of dedicated gentlemen who will represent and serve all GCSAA members in the coming year. Thanks to all for stepping up on our behalf and making the commitment to serve.

    Thank you Gary,

I appreciate your kind words and want to add something to the discussion. I am just starting my seventh year of Board service now as "your" Vice-President. I emphasize the word your, because GCSAA is a member association. We are all Superintendents first and foremost, but also volunteers who represent each and every member from the smallest of populated areas (like Montana) to the largest cities in the world, from the 9 hole facility to the largest multi-course facility. There are a few differences in those facets, but so many more similarities as to what we ALL do every day for our customers/members.

"Your" Board and GCSAA Staff are dedicated to make every decision based upon our mission, which is to serve our members, advance their profession and to enhance the growth and vitality of the game of golf.

I know that sounds like a "politicians" reply, but I assure you that it is my, and I truly believe my fellow board members, heartfelt reasons for serving.

    Sincerely,

    Pete Grass, CGCS
GCSAA Vice-President (for 16 hours now)

    Pete,

As someone who was fortunate enough to serve on GCSAA Committees for so many years I have no doubt that your words reflect those of all the gentlemen serving on the GCSAA BOD. No doubt, we will all be well represented throughout the golf business at all levels.

PS -Two of my fondest GCSAA memories that I always have to smile about when I reflect back on them are from our days together on the GCSAA Education Committee. Those were of course, "Peter, Paul and Gary" and "I'm 9 and I'm OK". Thanks Dan Ward. :-))

Glad to be able to call you my friend!!

    Gary

Gary, you failed to mention that you also served on the BOD and we all thank you for your time and dedication. I can remember more than one chapter delegates meetings with you and how devoted you were. Thanks to you also.

    Terry

    Thanks Terry,

My involvement with GCSAA and my local chapters and getting to work with active members such as yourself from across the country was one of the most rewarding parts of my entire career. I highly recommend to younger members that they get involved and stay involved. Can't even count the number of GCSAA members from across the land I consider to be friends.
