My fairways are surrounded by enormous waste areas and some members want to have rakes in them.
Waste areas are quit unusual in The Netherlands and there is not really a rule for rakes. I disagree with these members and want to get rid of these.
I think rakes belongs in bunkers and waste areas are without.

Whats your point of view about this topic. Get them in or get rid of it??
    Thanks, Marco

I dont know how are your waste areas but I can tell you what works well for me.
We rake weekly our waste areas with one buggy/bunker-raker and a drag-mat behind it, it does not take long and the golf course presentation is much better. In addition, small stones will stick to the mat and it make easy to remove them and provide a more uniform surface.

    Regards

    Alex
