Has anyone repaired a toro 3050 hydraulic lift cylinder? How do you get into it to replace the seals? Any ideas?

The lift cylinders I have do not have the snap ring on the top like your picture. There is a notch on the side where you can see a snap ring. I just can't figure out how to get to the snap ring inside to release it. There are a series of holes on the removable top end.

You need a lot of penetrating fluid and heat . The hole on top are for a gland wrench . It will spin I think clock wise and the clip will roll out of the hole ( best case scenario) I had to heat mine to get it off since your replacing seals any way . Don't heat it to the point where it's going to melt and aluminium parts . You can buy new clips . Look like a piece of 1/8 square stock .
