Trying to find out if they are working if so. I used two for a repair last year when A tournament drove a tent stake through my irrigation line. the tournament was a Marathon plant tournament so they gave me the clamps and I repaired they system and have not had any issues so far. Now I am needing to make another repair of a 6 x 6 x 2 tee and was thinking of using two of these and installing a 2" saddle clamp (which I already have on hand) between the circle clamps. they are cheaper then the bolt on clamps by about $100 or more apiece.

    just looking for other opinions.

Unsure what you mean by circle clamps, can you link to an example?

I decided to use the heavier duty Hymax clamps but I am still interested if these are being used in the golf course industry now.

I have a half dozen or so throughout my course as well. Yet to have a failure either. However pay attention to torque pounds when installing.

They work. Had to borrow one from the local municipality last time. it fixed a 10" line. A lot easier than a couple knock ons.

Thanks everyone, I went ahead and spent the extra dollars on the steel ones this time but only because it was in the middle of a fairway. If I had more time to wait for more responses I might of went a different route as these are about half the price of the steel ones. I do have a repair with them from almost two years ago with no issues so far. they look to be the way to go in the future though.

Have used quite a few of these. I have found it best to re torque them after 24 hours under pressure.

thanks for the heads up Tony. just curious how you manage this. I do not leave my lines pressurized while my hole is open. I will pressure it to test, in this case I had my backhoe bucket sitting on the pipe but I had about 15' of trench open at the time. I covered mine with 8 bags of concrete before covering the hole though to help hold it down.
