Our club is looking to install combo ice and water dispensers on the golf course. They will be wall mounted at the courses' restrooms. My main concern is purchasing one that can keep up with demand on hot summer days. Any guidance is greatly appreciated!

We bought one of these a few years ago and have been happy with it. We got it through our clubhouse food distributor for about $2,800. It is outside our clubhouse, and keeps up with demand. Downside is we go through so many cups and have to constantly keep them stocked. Id' suggest adding a couple of cup dispensers to keep from having to refill the cups a couple of times a day.

There are a lot of good commercial ice machines out there. Scotsman, hoshizaki are two really good quality machines. I have noticed a decline in the Manitowoc brands over the last ten years, so you might want to avoid those. The secret to a machine that keeps up with demand and gives you few problems, is frequent service. They need to be kept clean. Im talking about the internals. It is worth every penny to have a qualified refrigeration person come to your facility a couple times a year to clean the machine and sanitize it
