David, the Noles don't choke until it's the Super Regional or at the World Series. Very frustrating to always do so well every year and still not get the big prize.

Guys, I think the Noles or LSU would beat my Padres 8 out of 10 times if they had the opportunity to play them!

Maybe so Sandy but the money they make and the scenery in San Diego cannot be beat.

Hey Mel hope those Noles are playing good.......it's tournament time, then regionals and then the super regionals. Think my Tigers sewed up a top 8 super regional site with taking 2 of 3 from the Gamecocks this weekend.

Hey the Noles get to host a regional despite their pethic showing at the ACC tournament. Maybe this is the year they got their crappy play out of the way before starting their trip to the CWS.

Locally Missouri State playing at home here in Springfield played almost as bad, but seems headed to a regional out in California. Luckily they beat Witchita State which will be the odd team out of the MVC after they all let the last place team win the tournament and the automatic bid.

Brackets will be out at Noon today.

One game one win for Florida State.

Missouri State lost a tough one against Central Florida, gave themselves plenty of chances.

Florida State makes it to the regional final game.

Missouri State knocks out Miami, that's a bonus.

We'll see what happens tomorrow, my fingers are crossed.

Florida State onto the Super Regionals.

Missouri State up with 7 early runs but gave it away.

Hey Mel good luck to your Noles..........LSU is hosting the cindarella team of the tournament, Stoney Brook. And what a lovely start time for Baton Rouge........11:00 Friday and Saturday and noon Sunday if needed. The school has lead the nation for 10 years running in attendance gets hosed on starting time due to its opponent. If Miami had won I can assure you the Canes and Tigers would have been playing in prime time. But you got to play sometime so the Seawolves better pack lightweight uniforms for the 11:00 am start at 92 degrees and humidity to match. Four SEC teams made the Super Regionals out of 8 that began the tourney......we'll see how many advance to Omaha.

The road to Omaha starts today........at 11:00 in Baton Rouge. If anyone ever has the chance to go to the CWS do not pass it up. In my opinion the greatest week of sport (if a baseball fan obviously) that the NCAA produces. Have been three times, once a losing trip and to national championships.........great folks in Omaha and great baseball fans.

Congrats to the Alabama Crimson Tide for winning the first CWS softball championship for the SEC.........lets see now football, basketball, men's indoor track, now softball, with outdoor track and baseball to come........pretty good year for the league.

Boy David did LSU hang in there in dramatic fashion, was that 3 home runs to tie the game in three consecutive innings?

Things went well for the Noles, hopefully they can still score a couple of runs tomorrow and punch their ticket to Omaha.

Mel Congrats on the Seminoles winning in high fashion over the weekend. Good luck in the CWS. I witnessed the best overall team that has come into Baton Rouge in 20 years of watching regionals and super regionals in Alex Box Stadium. Stoney Brook played defense, hit the ball unbelievably and had great pitching as well. They had the 1 thru 8 hole hitters hitting over .300 for the season, the team was hitting .336 for the year, and they hit nearly .400 for the super regional. Whomever gets them in Omaha better be ready to play baseball. Everybody who didn;t know who the Seawolves were will soon know.

Thanks David, they gave me a little scare last night about the 7th inning or so when they let Stanford creep back into the game, but they quickly shut the door again in the top half of the next inning.

I will be pulling for Stony Brook as long as they don't face Florida State. They did mention Fresno State last night as they were a 4 seed in regionals that made it to the CWS. The year they won everything.

Dang it.....21 one times still no World Series title, it is so disappointing.

David, now you know why I get wrapped up in other things, to ease the pain.

Well at least your team got to Omaha again.........third year in a row left at home watching on TV. Arizona played well last night. No 3peat for the Gamecocks .

Kinda of like the middle of Uncle Bobby days with football, great seasons no title, well we did get two but my wife doesn't count the one since Notre Dame beat us that year.
