Does anyone own either of these machines? We currently have both demos at our facility and ran them both a little. In my opinion the Jacobsen doesn't look as rugged as the Toro and clunks around a bit more, while the Toro seems to be basic (not a lot of bells and whistles, possibly from a proven design). I do think the Jacobsen can cut more grass in a 8 our day and seems to have more power in taller grass. Any advice would be greatly
    appreciated.

I have a Toro 4000. I use it to mow the rough, tee banks, green banks on my prairie style golf course. Nimble machine, enough power to muscle through 4.5" bluegrass with no problems. Good quality cut with fresh blades.

Couple minor issues with getting hot. Cured them with new new fan clutch and water pump. 3000 hours, uses little oil.

All scheduled services are done in the winter. Decks cleaned, scraped, painted every winter.

I'd buy another one if given the chance.
