Edward Doda said: About 10 or so years ago our province had a scare to the quality of drinking water after some people died due to worker incompetence at a water treatment center. We had the usual complement of coolers filed with ice that most clubs used. Many courses removed coolers and sold/gave bottled water to players. We decided to install electric coolers on a number of different tees on the course.
The water comes from the clubhouse and snakes its way around the course to eight locations. Power comes from the 600volt supply at the pump house. There are transformers in the coolers that reduce the voltage for the cooler and if there is another one nearby it is fed 110volts directly from the same transformer. Each cooler has a ceramic filter cartridge to further purify the water.
We used to spend $4-5k each year for ice, cups and coolers plus labour that included some poor guy coming in Sat-Sun afternoon to service them if it was very hot. Total cost back then was about $32,000 and now we are starting to replace boxes and tops. Easily the best money we have spent over the years.

That's a good photo of you. Last time I saw you at Hooters you weren't nearly that attractive, then again it may have been a comparative thing.
Sad news about Reggie Jones but he had a lot of good years after his coronary on our 1st tee. His most common greeting to me was "Why didn't you cut the greens today?"
