   Looking for some help with algae on putting greens. Anybody know what rate and how often to spray sa 20. Used it years ago had great results but can not remember what the rate was.

   In the past, I have sprayed it at 1 gal / acre on bermudagrass greens.

   Its a greenhouse sterilant that is labeled for turf. They use it down here in orchid production, it is much easier to use than ZeroTol because you don't have to put it out in so much water and I have never seen it burn.
   There is also a product that I get from Ameriturf called Prontech that is a powder and has a little bit of nitrogen in it. I have switched to using Prontech instead of SA-20.

   Can't agree more than the chlorothalonil. Tried many things side by side, and for the cost per m, it can't be beat. Other products we have used focused on Zn as one of the primaries, so mancozeb is another that was pretty cost effective.
   
   On a side note, we did a few seasons with the Turfscreen product about 4 years ago to begin with. With the zinc oxide, i didn't see algae for the entirity of its trial. Since it's no longer in my program, those suspect areas have shown susceptability to algae again. Anyone else have any experience.

   Is quicksilver effective on algae? We use the Turfscreen if things get bad and Chlorothalonil if things get really bad. Only once have I ever had to go beyond that, and If I recall correctly a combination of Chlorothalonil, Ipridione, and Thiophanate Methyl on a couple of our worst greens.

    I have not heard of success with quicksilver for algae (works on moss though). Chlorothalonil has proven the best for us. We have push-up greens with decent surface drainage, but during wet summer periods have issues with algae, but working on air movement, promoting healthy turf and chlorothalonil seem to manage it well.
