Thank goodness the young high school girl was rescued in the wilds of Idaho. She attends the local high school close to Barona. The golf team uses Barona for a home course and we do a couple of charity fund raisers for the school sports programs. I am sure she could use everyone's thoughts and prayers considering her mother and brother were killed during her kidnapping. Who knows what this creep did to her and hopefully the public will not have to find out. I think she needs privacy and a ton of time for some difficult healing.

    Sandy,

Let's hope the media can just let this one go. She's safe, he's dead and a family needs to grieve for their lost love ones. It will take them a long time to heal but the media should be done with this story. Keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.

Or maybe two days later she'll get on social media and start answering questions.....I don't understand how that can help? You have to wonder where that advice came from?

    Sandy:

Love it just saw the great mayor face city council and resign effective next Friday but "I did not harrase any women". Man I feel sorry for those still working for the City and glad I'm not going thru it. Good luck over there.

Oh, but Jon, it gets even dirtier as of today. suddenly, some rag out of Orange County is divulging that the councilman that Filner beat in the mayors race, a republican openly gay man, would leave council meetings to go pleasure himself. How could something like this suddenly be news if it happened in 2009? As nasty a campaign as Filner ran, basically a scorched earth policy, how would this little tidbit have been kept out of the previous campaign? Carl DiMaio, the suddenly accused, just happens to be considered a viable candidate. He is gay but Filner, the tolerant democrat went out of his way to smear his life partner and Carl at any opportunity he had. Filner surprisingly, or maybe not, received the gay vote over his opponent. DiMaio was a strong conservative, very successful businessman who didn't walk in lock step with the so-called gay community. We don't even have any official candidates and this crap is already starting! I am beginning to think our once great city has hit rock bottom with the various political machines resorting to tactics right out of some third world dictatorship! The soap opera continues. By the way, the young girl seems to outwardly be doing pretty well. I am sure, having just buried her mother and brother, that she is still suffering deeply.

    Sandy,
I think you should run for the Mayor of San Diego. I know we can not find anything wrong with you.

    Sandy,

Alberto beat me to it but I think you should consider a run. Before you worry about the low pay you need to consider all the perks that the job has to offer. You could even set up your office down on the waterfront or out at Torrey Pines if you need a golf fix. Just hope the "Gumby" thing doesn't come back on you!!!

    Take care. Gary
