In walk mowing Zoysia tees and approaches what mower have you had the most success with? The unnamed mowers I am currently using seem to have trouble giving a good quality of cut if I get the least little bit behind, say if I miss a day to rain or heavy play.
I know there are several cultural practices that I can employ to help with grain, thatch and turf density.
Also how do you keep corners squared on tees?

We dont use walk mowers as never seemed to cut well on our zoysia, to light of a machine and reel. We went to using a 2653 with smooth tires, seems to really nip the zoysia down, dont have issues with broken tees and does our square tees well.

We use Toro 1600s. We have issues, but it seems keeping the mowing height very low (.25" - we have Zorro) has helped a lot.

I have seen Meyer teeboxes at another course mown with the 26" Jacobsen fixed mowers that were modified with heavy weights over the reel. It worked very well. They were some of the best teeboxes I have ever seen. I might try that trick with our 1600's.
