I am having some issues with my Nw8000/Sitepro communication. I am getting a no response from over half of my satellites but when I check them out in the field they indicate that they are almost all communicating with the central. Any ideas?

Have you checked the box the communication wires go into before they go to the FIU? When I have multiple boxes not communicating I check the fuses there first.

If you know the route of the cable, unhook all satellites from the modem and plug one in at a time until you find the satellite with the issue. Sounds to me like you may have a modem of faceplate hung up somewhere. If this is not the issue, may be a bad comm cable splice somewhere in the ground, or if there are two wires coming into the satellite, they may be touching.

    Patrick,
Do what Jon Christensen said if you haven't yet. Sometimes it's the simple things. Make sure the yellow and gray wires going into the gray plug are very snug. With headsets and alligator clips or a wire identifier by Tempo or other company - make sure you have the chirping signal at each satellite.
I often find an incorrect address in the timing mechanism (faceplate) from an irrigator who didn't realize it was needed when switching timing mechanisms.
