Well 30+ days of hype is finally over. About 11 hours and 15 minutes give or take a few and it's ON in the Dome. No need to rehash stats.....we're #1, their #2 in the polls and their #1 and we're #2 in all the stats that matter and none of them do any longer. The immovable objective vs the irresistable force.........SEC smashmouth football at it's best. Do not think it will be 9-6 in the rematch but it won't be 70-33 either. Les will win his second or Saban will win his third and surpass Urban Meyer with the most BCS titles as a coach. Last year the tickest for Auburn vs Oregon in Glendale were going for around $ 400 on average, a little above the $ 350 face valiue. AS of last night nothing is going for less than $ 1000........and that's for the cheap seats. Sorry that Pete and Rick are choosing to sIt this game out..............I think it will be a classic no matter whom the winner. My money is laid and all I can do now is wait and watch. GEAUX TIGERS !!!!!!

Now all we can hope is for a terrible game and both teams get jumped in the polls!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure things are blowing up in NO today. Got to be a lot of noN-ticket holding folks in town for the festivities.
Pretty sickening watching buses travel down highways and planes taking off from airports. I guess if it was my team I would be happy with all the stuff and could not get enough of it. I'm wondering if Nick will improve his record against LSU to 3-3? I don't think they have enough offense but you never know.

I might get into the game if I didn't know the sole reason either team is there is due to the unscrupulous practice of oversigning.

I'm gonna watch. I can't let the last college football game I see for the next 8 months be the GoDaddy.com bowl.
Fritos & bean dip sounds good. I've got a small boston butt in the smoker that should be ready when I get home. Whatever happened to that cook book anyway? Hate bama so geaux tigers!

    Hey DMac,

I'll be at a mandatory meeting of our local high scholl baseball umpires association this evening. They chose the same day last year for the first meeting of the year. I might run for a Board position just so I can make sure that they don't schedule the first meeting to conflict with the BCS Championship game next year.

I'll check my iPhone periodically, and listen to the radio on my way home. It will probably be late 3rd or early 4th qtr by then. If the score is more than 5 to 3 when I get home them I'll turn the TV on.

LSU received a good ole butt whipping (if using the other word the whole post would be pulled). They beat us everwhere, including the bottoms of our feet. If I have ever seen worse play calling from a staff I cannot recall it in my lifetime of watching football. Congratulations to Alabama for a great season and getting some serious redemption from the first loss. Two of Myles more profound comments after the game was he told the team afterwards " he never saw it coming"........WTF! And why he did not insert Jarrett Lee who led the team to an 8-0 record into the game, "the staff thought it better with Jordan Jefferson because of his quick feet".........WTF! 3 fumbles, 4 sacks, 15 yards on 14 carries, 1 pick and 11 completions for 53 yards............QUICK FEET?

The good news for the SEC haters.......they finally lost a BCS championship...........the bad news is they won they won their 7th in a row. Again CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE ALABAMA FANS EVERYWHERE!

    Geaux Saints.

Terrible offensive performance by the Tigers. Why they didn't put in Lee to start the 2nd half is beyond me. Just wasn't Jefferson's night. Too many mental mistakes. Turned it off after 3rd Qtr when LSU still hadn't made a QB change. You gotta try something different if you want different results.

Had every intention of watching but I just couldn't pull myself away from American Pickers and Pawn Stars. I did flip over to the game during the commercials but I found it to be an extension of the boring 1st game. So I went back to watching the commercials.

Mr. Les Miles sort of lost his genius moniker last night! The QB had that deer in the headlights look all night and looked pretty cowardly on the option plays. Not one time did he fake a pitch and keep it. It looked like he just wanted the ball out of his hands. Either that was one of the worst prepared offensive game plans of all times or Bama has possibly one of the best college defenses of all times. It was probably a combination of both. The only impressive thing I saw from LSU last night was early in the game when a receiver must have done about a 48" vertical leap to pull down a pass for about five yards. How do you go to the biggest college game of the year and look that unprepared and that out of sync? Congratulations to Alabama, they certainly deserve the # 1 ranking.

Clay I think it does have to do with the GAME, I think it was what David posted when Alabama scored that last touchdown.

On advice from legal counsel I have decided not to challenge the forum militia again..........I directed the email directly to the appropriate parties.......does anyone have a sense of humor in Lawrence. But word I was going to subsitute was ..........."arse" it references the buttocks region of the body.

I guess the Alabama basketball fans had even more fun with LSU last night. When LSU managed to get the ball past half court, the arena exploded with applause and cheers. I love the creativity of college basketball fans. They do have a good time and always at the expense of the opposing team.
