I have installed an older set of spiker units on my Jac GK VI 1862G my problem is the units swing side to side and forward and back and are hitting the ground as you transport or turn quickly on the green. When the machine is down going across the green everything works fine. Has anybody mounted spikers to a GK VI and had this issue?Have you manufactured some sort of bracket to prevent the spikers from swaying to much? The only information I can tell you about the spikers are they are orange and have the number UMC269054 on the weights on top. Thanks for any information.

I use the same set on a elderly gk4 and a gk5. They do ride lower to the ground as they have an altogether "taller" profile than the rollers. Swivel is limited by the pin through the top of the tower, make sure your swivel brackets and pins are in good condition. Also there "should" be a 1/2" spacer at the bottom of the mount shaft

Additionally on a gk5 front lift arms there should be a cable between the lift arm and swivel arm that limits that travel

Thanks Mike yes it has the cable on it and they definitely fit better on a Jac 4 and 5. Still going to have to weld a bracket on of some kind.

1/2 spacer on the shaft of the spiker and the shaft of the mower? it does not have a spacer, I never have a spacer on there when I have a set of mowers mounted on it and it doesn't show anything about a spacer in parts manual. Is the spacer just for use with the spikers?

Hmmm, that link may not work, go to Jacobsen website, on line parts lookup, jacobsen turf, greens equipment, accessories select spikes or rollers
