I posted this on Facebook and nobody cared. It seems pretty significant and cool to me. Everybody wants to me all up in arms and I don't get it. If you want to kill people and do it efficiently without pain this seems like a great idea.

I hate the death penalty. I think we should be able to put people away for life without putting anyone else in danger, I don't care about revenge because it does not help anyone and only creates more violence, and killing people is more expensive than letting them sit in jail even with the incarceration and medical expenses. It is just barbaric. Having said that Oklahoma put forward a method of executing prisoners using increasing levels of nitrogen gas. Air is already basically 78% nitrogen and 22% oxygen. As you increased the nitrogen the condemned will become more and more euphoric until they finally pass out. This is by far the most humane method of executing prisoners I have read about and people are criticizing the politician who put it forward. Have you ever gone down below 120 feet scuba diving with compressed air or had gas at the dentist? It is a beautiful thing. It seems like a pretty darn gracious way to conduct a barbaric act to me.

Why should the guilty be given more sympathy or compassion than they gave their victims or society gives unborn babies?

Why should you kill any human being? Unborn or not. Logic fail.

Because we should strive to be better than them, not like them.

It seems to me that the most rugged way to kill them would be to let them stay in prison and die of natural causes.

Quite frankly - I remain on the fence. Conversations with others say that they had loved ones killed by an evildoer and they immediately have their mind made up regarding the murderer(s).

I stand on solid ground of not supporting partial birth abortion. Some who express their opinions about pro-life for an adult criminal need to remember that there are politicians who support partial birth abortion and fund planned parenthood with our tax dollars. Easy to cry for pro-life for the adult murderers and forget our little ones-that's hypocrisy in my book.

I used to think along the same lines, however, my opinion has changed. The difference between the fetus and adult is the fetus has no say in the matter, did not create the circumstances for which the fetus is being killed, has no representation, has no appeal process, and did absolutely nothing wrong to receive the death sentence. The adult, however, made a conscious decision for his/her actions, has full control of the circumstances leading up to the incident in question, has representation, has an appeal process, and willfully committed the crime for which he/she is condemned to death.
