Hands down the good and they were very very good was Alabama's blowout of #8 Michigan............not even a game for a quarter............USC looked good as expected, Barkley looked ready for a Heisman run but Hawaii was not much of a test............FSU came out strong and a surprise to me Clemson handled Auburn........the Buckeyes looked strong as did Nebraska and WVA looks ready for the move to the Big 12.................the Ok included my Tigers.............offense moved the ball well on the ground, Mettenberger needs some seasoning and defense bent but did not break..............Michigan State struggled more than I thought they would but maybe Boise was tougher than I thought as well.............Wisconsin was sluggish...........Georgia had a tough first half but finally broke it open........Texas muddled through a blowout game as well............the ugly well we can start with PSU.......up 14-0 and then phoned it in.............Okie State 84-0 vs Savannah State which in the last decade has had 6 seasons of 0 or 1 win seasons...........Noles get them next...........Florida looked terrible but managed to win and thats what counts..............Gamecocks were lucky to beat Vandy...............and Stanford struggled with San Jose State............and the Hawkeyes got by with a whisper againts N. Illinois

Week one and lots of improvement to do between the first two games for everyone

Well, just like Florida the Hawkeyes managed to win and thats what counts, right? 1-0 right? I thought North Texas was a prison team. Figured thats why LSU played them, Les recruits there. Maybe next year LSU can get that tough Savannah State team. :)

Well we're hoping Rick but with their decades long record sure all the ACC guys and Big 12 got them booked up till 2020.......but heck we might be able to get N illinois or even Iowa.........love to show you some southern hospitality and spend a day tailgating with you......might have an entirely different attitude when you leave town. One can wish anyway.

Northern Illinois is too tough for LSU to schedule. They were 11-3 last year. And the last time you played Iowa....well you seemed to recall Tate to Holloway, touchdown the last time I mentioned it. Your welcome to come up to Iowa and learn how to tailgate Iowa style. You'll need to bring your big boy pants and leave that silly LSU jersey home, unless you're not gonna cry at a lil ribbing about the last time we played.

I haven't had an LSU jersey on since I was 12...........not much the Big 10 can teach anyone from the SEC about tailgating.........you know its a lot like football itself............a religion and we perfected it when you guys thought a bag of popcorn and a can of cheeze whiz is tailgating. But a home and home would be nice.

Yea and your're right N Illinois I am sure is much tougher than Oregon and WVA were last year......on the road.

Northern Illinois is a helluva lot tougher than North Texas. I was comparing openers, as usual you wanna compare something different. I'm surprised you know what popcorn and cheese whiz is. That's pretty high class tailgating compared to what you are used to David! :)

I know and boiled corn on the cob completes the balanced diet pyramid. I wish you guys would just grow it to feed us and pigs and give up this ethanol fiasco..........I prefer eating it to burning it. Good luck to your Hawkeyes

Michigan better figure out some way to move the football when a defense takes the run away from Robinson. The kid is fast and a good runner but simply a horrible passer! He looks just as bad throwing as he did the past two years. My San Diego State Aztecs lost to Washington. They have no effective field goal kicker and plan to go for two on extra points and go for it on fourth down whenever they are in FG range. This could be interesting!

The Top 25 ended exactly as I thought I it would......with two losers and both were predictable......Boise State and Michigan. OU should battle FAMU (with 4 suspensions) in another thriller and this week FSU gets the little sisters of the poor from Savanha State, I think unless they have another breather scheduled first. Look forward to seeing Washington come to town this weekend and Keith Price. Should give the DB's a good test.
