Anybody know what they are doing there to maintain the dog wood and azalea blossoms? Don't know if the ice trick will work for such an extended period. Just curious.

I'm sure they've been hitting with a growth hormone to delay blooming, then will hit with some Gibberllic Acid right before showtime to get them to pop.

I heard that they are praying to Ba'al and spreading pixie dust on them.

The azaleas here in Birmingham have just hit there stride and I would suspect they will still look good next week as long as a big rain doesn't come in a knock off all the blooms. I wouldn't think there azaleas will be missing, but the forsythia and dogwood will probably have come and gone. Nothing that creative camera work can't take care of.

90 miles south of Augusta and our Dogwoods and Azaleas still look decent. They are past their peak by a week or so though.

I am just looking for input on going to Augusta through Class A status. What to do, where to stay, what not to do. I am planning on going Saturday and Sunday.

    Thanks,
    Charlie B.

Get plenty of sleep and wear comfortable shoes !!!

I'd stay in Aiken, as most of the rooms west of the course are filled with folk either from or flying from Atlanta.

You need to eat several pimento cheese sandwiches, egg salad sandwiches and lots of cheap beer! :)
