I have a John Deere Aercore 1000 that I use on greens. It has been a good piece of equipment. I would look at the 1500 or 2000 for fairways. As far as the high production pull-behinds go, I have used a bunch of them and they have all been good: Ryan, Aerway and Agrimetal.

I want to see the Toro 686 in action. I have a colleague that uses it and loves it. The speed of this machine pulling a core is awesome.

We have a Toro 1298. We can do 55 acres of fairways in about 38-40 man hours on a 3"x4" spacing. We bust through rock with it as well. We've had ours for four seasons now and do over 300 acres with it each year. We have had no issues with the machine other than wear and tear. It has been awesome for us!

There is not a better fwy aerifier than the Toro 1296. It's just 2 procores behind a tractor.

I'd second that. Just make sure your tractor has the HP to handle it

We had to purchase the tractor pictured above to tow ours. It wasn't the horsepower, but the lifting capacity at the 3-point hitch. We use a Kubota 5740 with about 600# in weight on the front. It still hops. But the best aerifier I have owned.
