Little shake up due to some more impressive wins than others.........if you're good you better win really big against the little sisters of the poor..........if not you fall...........thus OSU made a slight fall this week.....the other OSU made a good jump..........the biggie this week is Mels team vs OU.........should be a good one ...the Ouch game of the week IOWA STATE 44 iowa 41..............play of the week DT Ingram (276lbs) running 68 yards on a FAKE punt for Sou Carolina ...helllllooooooo Coach Richt!............ worse call of the week............NCAA has an excessive celebration rule that can take a score off the board...........USC blocked a tying FG against Utah and ran it back for a TD............score taken off the board by the on field officals..game ends with a 3 point USC win............later the PAC 12 in all its wisdom adds the TD back giving the Trojans a 9 point win.........the line was 8.5............you think maybe Lane Kiffin had a little money on the game?

Ok, week three and still no mention of UT. I guess we're going to have to go down to the swamp and beat Florida to get an honorable mention now. The kid we've got at QB has already broken one of Peyton's records (8 consecutive 2TD or more throws- ps he's only played in 8 games), more to fall soon. 34-41 with 400+ yards, 4 TD's and one rushing TD against a pretty good Cincinnatti team. The Vols are at the very least exciting to watch again.

Only one other quibble with your rankings. Wisconsin is too low. They look like a team that's going to run the table this year.

    David,

Where's Notre Dame?? I can hear their fans still talking BCS bowl because they had two "tough" losses but will still have a stellar season in the end. They must still be a top 25 team, right??

UT is currently lingering around 35th. I will give them their props when due........impressed with the Cincy win. A few of my gambling buddies loved the Bearcats and I told them I would stay away from that game unless taking the Vols............hey they may knock off the #3 team in another month or so.

Notre Dame in all likelyhood will be ofer the season after next week..........do not see them beating Michigan State even if they allow them to bring a club to the game.

How did FSU fall behind Stanford from week 2? I guess we should have shut out the sisters of the poor?

Looking forward to Saturday night's game....might just have to break from the diet and get me a back of Fritos scoops and a can of bean dip and some real Coca - Cola, not that Sam's crap.

I knew I would hear from Bobby Bowdens step son about FSU and their drop.......playing Charleston will do that but this week you can leap forward with a big win over the Sooners. Duke is not exactly a powerhouse but a big 6 conference team and the Cardinal did travel coast to coast............plus it's my poll and I like Stanford, lol. For now.

Predictions for week 3..........the big game of the week is Mel's # 5 FSU Noles + 3.5 at home against #2 OKLAHOMA ........have been loving the Noles but with time to bet the money leaning west......OU is a MUCH better homer than a travel team........big games they have fallen flat.......but Landry Jones and company, if they can hold the line on the road till Lewis returns they should be able to make a real run at the BCS title.....only two teams to beat in the Little 12.........but at home the Noles are tough............special teams may be the difference and Fla State is very strong there......give the points in a cliff hanger.......#3 LSU vs #25 Miss State + 3.5.........Tigers have won 19 in a row.........but no blowouts.....these teams play great football gaame and the cowbells will be loud at Scott Field tonight........State as two key lineman out and LSU is has two key special teamers out......expect another barn burner......give the 3.5..........#1 ALABAMA vs N Texas + 46.....I thinkk they need more than 46 but that is a lot to give......one fumble can cost you the spread........Nicky will run it up on the Green Demons...........#4 STANFORD vs Arizona + 10 on the road.........Wildcats can be tough at home but again I like the fav........if the Cardinal get by the Cats they will be 7-0 before tested again........# 6 WISCONSIN vs N. Illinois + 16.5......Badgers looking move up in the polls with potential losers ahead of them this week........give the points a **** pick.............#7 OKLA STATE vs Tulsa + 14.........first OU, a break, now back in the fire with OSU.......give the 14...........# 8 BOISE STATE vs Toledo.+17.5..........the Mudhens played the in state Bucks close but not even this week........the Broncos got to run it up each and every week they can.....give the points............#9 OREGON vs Missouri State.........no line and thank goodness it would be 50......do any colleges play football in Missouri?........#10 Texas A&M vs Idaho + 36.........Aggies looking at next week agains the Cowboys but will take care of the Vandals without blinking........# 11VA TECH vs Ark State.......+ 24.....one of Tracy's team...........i like the Redhawks or Warlords or whatever they changed their name to to cover on the road........# 12 Sou Carolina vs Navy +18.5..........I like the Middies to make it a game and cover..........# 14 ARK vs Troy + 24.......the men from Troy may keep in within the number......hogs may rest some starters that are banged up.........#13 NEBRASKA vs Washington + 16.5........think the Huskies can keep it respectible...........# 15 MICHIGAN STATE vs ND +5.......everything is sayiny upset special upset special.......the Irish are pitiful........but upset keeps popping into my mind.....I like the Spartans
OK Mel take care of business and you will rise like cream next week..........both OU and LSU could tumble so lots of room to go up..................oh yea for Gus........UT vs Florida..........Meyer owned Tenn but not so sure about the new guy...... I love taking the 9.5 and the Vols covering

Missouri State right here in Springfield is playing two big money games, they played Arkansas first week now Oregon. They might break even with those two, unless no one shows up at home with their first home game Oct. 1st, they could be 0-4 by then.

I am thinking well probably not thinking with my head, but the Noles used to always play those night games in the hey-day and would never lose. Think they will win and Tennessee street will be crammed, unless things have changed since my days there.

Sorry Mel...........the Tigers didn;t help you at all last night...........the Noles are going to have to take care of business themselves if they want to move up!
