God answers prayers, with "no" sometimes, "yes" sometimes and "wait" sometimes.

Joni Eareckson Tada is a quadraplegic who broke her neck diving into water at the age of 18.

Keith, the Lord has an awful lot more on his plate than worryin' about some monkey infested planet. Reconciling wars, and famines, and suffering, and Aids and the like take time

You can't expect him to be all knowing and all doing really now, can you?

If you want to attempt to understand God and his decision making process, it would make sense to first read the Bible to understand his thought process.

In the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus asked his Father if there was any other way of dying for our sins instead of the pain and suffering he endured before and during his crucifixion, and God said no. In which Jesus responded, "Not my will but Your will be done".
