I have a Sand Pro 2040Z that has now had drive wheel transmission issues on both wheels. It starts out making a constant loud noise as you use the machine that just sounds like normal hydrostat noise, but times 10 on the noise scale. It then gets to a point where the machine will hardly operate from the one wheel. I have torn the transmission apart and there are no obvious sign of an issues, and negligible amounts of metal in the fluid. Of course, the machine is 200 hours and two months out of warranty, which means TORO will not stand behind it. What really gets me is that the same thing happened on the other wheel transmission July of last year and it was replaced by TORO even though no signs of problems were had anywhere. I am pretty disappointed in TORO on this one. Has anyone had this same type of issue with this 2040Z or other zero turn equipment from TORO? it is a TUFF TORQ transmission.
