   Hello,
   I am inquiring to see who has switched from the ethanol to Rec Fuel with no ethanol, I realize its more expensive but our mechanics research has showed it may be worth the switch.

   Dan,
   My father-in-law works for Crystal Flash Fuel in Michigan, and he was telling me about the rec gas when we were up there over the holidays. He said it is a little more expensive, but the repair cost to equipment would justify it in no time. He told me they deliver to many golf courses and landscape companies and they all praise the fuel and how much better their equipment runs. When I went back to work from the trip, I called around here (Dayton area) and have not had any luck finding it yet. If I find somebody, will let you know.

   Dan,
   I have spoken to numerous fuel suppliers around the Dayton area and they are telling me that the Rec Gas (ethanol free gas) is not available. They told me that Ohio frowns upon the thought of pure gas, and that makes it difficult and too expensive to even try to carry it. The distributors that I talked to said that they do not know of any companies in the southwest part of Ohio that carries this fuel. I have been recommended by a few people to use a product by Star Tron (http://mystarbrite.com/startron//conten ... 3/lang,en/) . This is supposed to take care of the ethanol issues in our engines. Locally it is about $9.00 for an 8 oz bottle that is supposed to treat up to 48 gallons. I am buying some today and going to try it. Has anybody else tried this product?

   We use 90 octane no ethanol (90 Rec) in the Atlanta area. I'll be honest, my equipment manager knows better than I do why, I just know he and other sources I've looked at say it's better for small engines, so I'm fine with it. Doesn't hurt that the owner of my course is in the fuel business, though
