   Alabama vs Arkansas........no contest, what once was looked at a big game is now history. The Hawgs always were suspect on defense (and they wonder why the cant win in the SEC) was exposed by a mediocre NLU team
   
   USC vs Stanford......competition is picking up for the Trojans, should win. I don't think the spread is enough for the Cardinal to cover...........no luck this year in many ways
   
   LSU vs Idaho........no line no contest
   
   Oregon vs Tennessee TECH.........no line........are the Ducks ever going to play a real team this year?
   
   FSU vs Wake Forest +27.5.......I like the Deacons to cover........have beaten the Noles 4 of the last 6 meetings
   
   Georgia vs Fla Atlantic.........no contest
   
   South Carolina vs UAB......+33.5........could easily cover against the gamecocks
   
   Notre Dame vs Michigan State....-5...........I like the Spartans to win and cover.....the ACC went begging yesterday
   
   
   Ohio State vs CAL + 17.......history says the Bucks 5-1 lifetime against the left coasters.....Bears to cover i think
   
   Va Tech vs Pitt.........Panthers trying not to go 0-3 but no luck.......Hokies cover the 10.5
   
   Texas vs Ole Miss + 10.5.........surprising Rebels might pull an upset.......first trip to Oxford for the Austin guys the west vs east wine and cheese crowd meet in The Grove........the big contest is which tailgaters can set the most fancy table
   
   Michigan vs Mass + 46...........they should be playing the entire state of Mass to make it even.....they got outscored 82-6 by UConn and Indiana..........two hoops schools that play football to kill time for 3 months in the fall
   
   KSU vs N Texas........Wildcats should win big
   
   TCU vs Kansas......first Big 12 game for the Horned Frogs........not really, if they were playing the Jayhawks in basketball it might be a contest
   
   Florida vs Tennessee -3........game moved from Fayetteville to Knoxville.......good move for a number of reasons
   I like the Vols to cover........could be the TV game of the day.
   
   BYU vs Utah+ 4 ........the Holy War.......the Crusade.....jihad comes to Utah..........this should be to close to call but will take the guys from Provo to prevail.

   Wow, not many good games this weekend. I need to pay closer attention to the NFL network, totally missed out on Packers-Bears last night. Since I did so well on my predictions last week (not! ) Here goes:
   
   Alabama v. Arkansas- better than expected game as hogs try to play out of the shame of last week. Bama still wins though.
   
   USC v. Stanford- no contest, trojans roll
   
   MSU v. ND- should be one of the best games of the weekend. I like ND to wake up the ghosts of glories past.
   
   BYU v. Utah- the annual 'holy war,' and BYU should prevail
   
   Florida v. Tennessee- Vols better than gators but we haven't beaten them since 04, hope that doesn't weigh too heavily on the team and they get tight. Intangibles are on our side. Crowd will be insane and looking for blood and redemption. I got a strong feeling about this one but given my prediction record I'll keep my mouth shut so I don't jinx us.

   Take back my Tide v. Hogs prediction as I just found out the hogs's starting QB will not play. potential good game now a trainwreck.
   
   New one to add as upset special: Utah State v. Wisconsin. Aggies are a good team, Wisconsin reeling after loss to Oregon State last week but are at home Sat. Actually, on further review, would it really be an upset if the Aggies win?

   I was going to call you out on the Bama Ark prediction but you corrected yourself..........yes the Warhawks knocked him out of the game last week and he will not play against the Tide,,,,,,,,,,,,smart move John Smith
   
   I like the Vols a lot so I will jinx them for you...........loading up on them..............
   
   My big plays last week were Aggies over the Gators...lost State over Auburn.........win LSU over Washington...........win and the lock of the week Tulsa over Tulane...........win

   I had a high school classmate over last weekend. He lives in Salt Lake so we watched the Utah State Utah game. Utah looked very poor on offense or Utah State has a very good defense. Not sure which. Utah barely won over the smaller school. Little Utah State may be one of those pesky teams that good teams don't like to play.

   Based on the perfomance of both teams a couple days ago, I would say yes. Take that to the bank....or the bookie.
