   We currently fill our sprayer from a wall mounted 1/2" hose valve in our shop, similar to the hose valve on the side of your house. The location of the valve is convenient but it can take 30 to 40 minutes to fill our sprayer with water. We have a 1" water line that runs along the ceiling of our shop about 20' off the ground. I would like to tap into this line, and pipe the water directly down over our spray tank. I can pipe the water to where I want it pretty easily, I am looking for pictures of your sprayer fill areas, or ideas on how to turn the water on/off when the water line is 20' off the ground.

   Have you thought about buying a tank as big as your sprayer tank and mounting it on a stand higher than the top of you spray tank for a fill tank? The tank could be filled when you are out spraying with the 3/4" water line and then water could be let out quickly using at least a 2" ball valve and attached hose to fill your spray tank. An automatic float water shut off could be mounted on the fill water line so it shuts off the water when the tank is full.
   
   If you could find a used 275-gallon tote it could be modified to be the water storage tank. If you don't have a 275-gallon tote you can probaly find one on craigslist for $50.00. Tempest can easily be used to search Craigslist nationwide.

   To turn off the water on a pipe 20' in the air you put a T in the water line and run it down the wall where you can put a valve on it that you can easily reach. Next, run the water line a foot horizontality using two 90 degree fittings and then run the line vertically to your sprayer fill height.
   
   I prefer running a 1" hose from the wall valve and then have a quick connect at the end of the hose to attach it to the antisiphon fill tube on the top of the Toro 5800 sprayer tank. I also add a plastic ball valve close to the end of the hose so I don't have to walk back to the wall to control the water flow,

   If you go with the tank idea you can mount your smaller line to the tank itself and have a float valve in it to turn it on and off eliminating the need to do it manually. If you do tap into the 1" line you might want to put a backflow preventer on it to make sure of no backup water from your pipe (your smaller line should have one anyway).

   thanks guys, the fill tank is a pretty good idea.
   I found a store online that lets you custom make flexible braided metal hose with length, size, and fittings, similar to the hose under a sink. I am going to tee off the existing line, come out away from the wall, then 90 deg down. Then attach the 1" flexible hose with a ball valve on the end for easy on/off function.

   hook a trash pump to your secondary tank and now you have a mixing tank. Ours is great.
