Watching the home run derby...noticed they checkerboarded the entire outfield with a walk mower, probably a 26". Pretty cool way to show out for the all star game.

I think the best pattern I have ever seen for an all star game was in Colorado a few years back where they mowed it to look like a giant star.

Hes not, but I know it was meant to reference Congressionals fwys in 1997. Keep in mind, Bob Alonzi did the same thing at Winged Foot for the PGA that year.
I believe that the entire field in paspalum and they have been walk mowing it this entire season. A few years ago, the Angles walk mowed their entire field, also-good look and a nice change.

You are right Tony. Back there this summer I couldn't believe we did that back in '97. Not familiar with paspalum but we teach one of the benefits is stripping. Ken

It was DeAnza zoysia when it opened... then went to Bullseye later.

Grant Trenbeath is the man and has been there the whole time... hell of a job he does, given the fact that it doesn't get all the sun it needs. IMHO
