I am working on an equipment reviews website. Kind of felt we could use one after all these years. The website should be up at the end of this week. Planning to do all types of equipment and such. Also allow other end users to enter their scores on the items as well.

Here is the first one I did. I plan to do a written review and a Pros/Cons video to really show what I am talking about. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MXRaYaTMKOk

Looking for feedback on if this is something of interest for Superintendents / Technicians. Happy to hear both good and bad won't hurt my feelings. Thanks in advance.

Great idea Stephen. I think you are on to something here and think it will grow very fast as people find your site. You might even consider collaborating with Hector in Hectors Garage. He is a pretty sharp guy with lots of creative ideas. JMO. Good luck.

I use the free online version all the time. It's great and somewhat accurate.

I have been using it for years. Google Earth Pro is also free now and I use both. one winter I used the planimeter to measure out all of my Greens, Tees, Fairways, Ponds and roughs. Saved me a lot of field work and its pretty darn accurate. I actually used the earth to copy pictures of my greens to use as pin placement sheets for our tournaments. They look a lot better using the actual picture of a green then a round circle.

I have it on my computer at work but not the phone ap. I used it to determine the areas of everything down to the size of the smallest tee and smallest bunker.

I used the earth on the computer to create irrigation maps, drain maps...etc. Made books for irrigation tech and left a map in all of the controllers on the course for quick reference.
