Hey all this is Travis Hays I am the assistant superintendent at Hidden Valley Lake Golf Course in Northern California. Beginning to study for my QAC and looking for some input on what the best options are. Whether it be an online class or an actual in class study at a community college or something of that sort.
Please feel free to give me any input you feel necessary.

Look up Papa seminars. They will do an all day training with study materials. Take the test asap after.

    Billy,

I think Target Specialty Products (at least they used to) offers a course to help prep for the exam. Probably are others out there that do the same but can't name them. PAPA and others may have materials available online but their seminars are normally on a variety of topics and not really exam prep in most cases. Good luck with the test.

In this link there is a link to the dpr laws and regs study guide. It's a free download. Many of the review questions in this study guide willike appear on the actual exam. Buy a copy of the safe and effective use of pesticides book, info to purchase also contained in the link. Again many of the review questions in that application will appear on the actual exam. Also buy the recommended book for the category that you will take included in this link.

If you study those 3 things you will have all of the info you needed to pass the exam

As others have mentioned PAPA has a pretty good test prep course. IMO you should opt for the QAL instead of the QAC. County Ag requires one person on staff to have a QAL to get the use permit. If your plan is to be a superintendent one day then go for the QAL.
